Merry meet Crystal Star!! I have been looking for a natural remedy for pimples, (if their is such a thing) or something to help clear up my skin. I get pimples, still in my adulthood, and i wish they would just go away!! Do you have any suggestions as to herbs i should be using and so on!!

Hi Serena, I too, have some issues with acne... I never used to break out like I do now, I was told that because of pre-menopausal problems, my skin breaks out... arghhh!
Star, any help would be great...

sorry it took me so long to respond!!

here is how i see acne:

adult onset acne is usually the result of a deficiency of some sort.
also:
*the skin is the last means for you body to eliminate waste....so if your colon is blocked, or your liver and kidneys are sluggish, acne will develope.

*try the following:
1)drink LOTS of water
2)limit your caffeine intake
3)try to stick to foods as close to their natural state (fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains..etc.)
instead of processed foods.
4)take a multi-viteman
5)take extra vit. A (not while pregnant)= acne is usually a result of a deficiency of this vit.
6)take a digestive enzyme, or use apple cider vinegar (capsules or liquid) this will help with digestion and help relieve acne.
7)don't OVERWASH your face
8)exfoliate with natural ingredients (ie, oatmeal scrub....see my natural beauty section)
9)use witch hazel and tea tree oil 3x/day
10)don't wear too much makeup
11)use vit. E oil at night.

i hope this helps!
blessed be!

no problem!!
i hope they help!

tea tree oil is essential....and can be bought now at fortinos, and other supermarkets. (same with witch hazel)....you can also BUY witchhazel (in herb form) and make a strong brew out of it. (use some yarrow as well)
*strain it, and use that as an astringant
i highly suggest picking some up.
blessed be!
