Details:
CfBT Education Services currently employs 25 primary teachers and 157 secondary teachers in government schools in Brunei. CfBT support includes recruitment, briefing and orientation course on arrival. All teachers have access to welfare support, Education Centres and excellent opportunities for professional development.
CfBT has been established in Brunei since 1985, following the introduction of the bilingual education policy, to provide native English speaking teachers to improve the standard of English Language Teaching in primary and secondary schools.
Qualifications:
Secondary Teachers:
Degree (preferably in English or Humanities) and teaching qualification (PGCE or Teaching Certificate)
or
Bachelor of Education
or
Certificate in Education and TEFL qualification (Primary teachers only)
A TEFL qualification would be a useful additional qualification but is not essential.
Minimum five years teaching experience including one year ESL teaching.
Below 52 years of age.
Primary Teachers:
Degree (preferably in English or Humanities) and teaching qualification (PGCE or Teaching Certificate)
or
Bachelor of Education
or
Certificate in Education and TEFL qualification
Minimum three years teaching experience including one year ESL teaching.
Below 50 years of age.
In order to meet with Brunei Ministry of Education approval all applicants must have completed their basic and tertiary education in one of the following countries:
Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland or United Kingdom.
Current driving licence.

Compensation:
Salary range B$3,050 - B$4,500 per month
Completion of Contract Bonus of one sixth total salary earned during the contract period.
