Details:
The Ministry of Higher Education in Oman in connection with Hawthorn Muscat English Language Centre require English Language Instructors, Lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors to work at the Ministry Teachers Training Colleges in different areas of Oman. These posts are to start as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
1. English Language Instructors for General English & Foundation Year Program, candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor Degree in English or relevant major.
* Certificate or Diploma in TEFL / TESOL/ CELTA.
* Four Years relevant experience.
2. Lecturers (B.Ed), for English language Program, candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* Master Degree in TEFL or TESOL, or Applied Linguistics, or Literature.
* Two Years relevant experience in academic setting.
3. Assistant Professors (B.Ed), Associate Professors for English Language Program , candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* PhD Degree in TEFL or TESOL, or Applied Linguistics, or Literature.
* Two Years relevant experience in academic setting.

* The selected candidates should provide the following documents on confirmation of their selection:
a. The original letter of acceptance of the post.
b. Copies of the qualifications and experience letters
authenticated by the concerned authority in their countries.
C. HIV report and Medical certificate confirming that the
candidate is medically fit for employment.
REMUNERATIONS
1. Post : English Language Instructor / Lecturer (B.Ed.)
• One year contract renewable on mutual agreement.
• Monthly Tax Free salary ranging from 1000 to 1220 Omani Riyal inclusive of housing, utilities (Electricity & water), and transport. The salary depends on the qualifications and working experience.
• 60 Days paid annual vacation.
• Joining air passage from the country of origin at the beginning of contract and air passage at the end of contract to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
• Annual air passage to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old for taking annual leave.
• Furniture Loan of 1600 Omani Riyal to be repaid to the Ministry in the first 8 months of service in equal installments.
• Free medical service in the government hospitals for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
• The amount of 5000 Omani Riyal compensation in case of death or total disability due to work.
• This offer is to be considered as initial agreement until a final contract is signed by the employee and the concerned authorities in the Ministry, however, the ministry will bear no responsibilities or commitments before the contract of employment is finally signed.
2. Post : English Language Assistant Professors / Associate Professors
• One year contract renewable on mutual agreement.
• Monthly Tax Free salary ranging from 1100 to 1400 Omani Riyal inclusive of housing, utilities (Electricity & water), and transport. The salary depends on the qualifications and working experience.
• 60 Days paid annual vacation.
• Joining air passage from the country of origin at the beginning of contract and air passage at the end of contract to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
