The English Language Fellow Program is currently seeking a Senior English Language Fellow with Legal English experience to serve in Muscat, Oman. The Fellow will work with the Ministry of Justice and teach Legal English to jurists. The Fellow will work independently and take on the challenge of testing, assessing and implementing an intensive program for jurists at varying levels of English language proficiency. The Fellow should also be qualified to teach basic and advanced technical English for legal writing and have experience in curriculum design and in the preparation of specialized teaching materials. The program will lead to an increased understanding of the American judicial system and enable students to learn about transferable legal practices. The Fellow will also provide advanced level English courses to the 20 judges who are expected to complete the course in June and others who will join them.
