Details:
The Ministry of Higher Education in Oman requires Native English Language Instructors, Lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors to work at the Ministry Teachers Training Colleges in different areas of Oman. These posts are to start as soon as possible, expected dates of joining are September & October 2005, teaching hours will be 18 hours per week.
The Chances of employment is very high for qualified candidates due to the big number of teachers required (70 position)

Qualifications
1. English Language Instructors for General English & Foundation Year Program, candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor Degree in English or relevant major.
* Certificate or Diploma in TEFL / TESOL/ CELTA.
* Four Years relevant experience.
2. Lecturers (B.Ed), for English language Program, candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* Master Degree in TEFL or TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Literature.
* Two Years relevant experience in academic setting.
3. Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors for English Language Program , candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
* PhD Degree in TEFL or TESOL, or Applied Linguistics, or Literature, or relevant subject.
* Two Years relevant experience in academic setting.

REMUNERATIONS
1. Post : English Language Instructor / Lecturer (B.Ed.)
• One year contract renewable on mutual agreement.
• Monthly Tax Free salary ranging from 1000 to 1220 Omani Riyal inclusive of housing, utilities (Electricity & water), and transport. The salary depends on the qualifications and working experience.
• 60 Days paid annual vacation.
• Joining air passage from the country of origin at the beginning of contract and air passage at the end of contract to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
• 75% cash payment of the air passages price to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old for taking annual leave in case of the renewal of the contract.
. one month salary gratuity payment per each completed year of service on the condition that the employee completed at least two years of service.
• Furniture Loan of 1600 Omani Riyal to be repaid to the Ministry in the first 8 months of service in equal installments.
• Free medical service in the government hospitals for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
• The amount of 5000 Omani Riyal compensation in case of death or total disability due to work.
• This offer is to be considered as initial agreement until a final contract is signed by the employee and the concerned authorities in the Ministry, however, the ministry will bear no responsibilities or commitments before the contract of employment is finally signed.

2. Post : English Language Assistant Professors / Associate Professors, and Professors
• One year contract renewable on mutual agreement.
• Monthly Tax Free salary ranging from 1100 to 1485 Omani Riyal inclusive of housing, utilities (Electricity & water), and transport. The salary depends on the qualifications and working experience.
• 60 Days paid annual vacation.
• Joining air passage from the country of origin at the beginning of contract and air passage at the end of contract to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old.
• 75% cash payment of the prices of air passages to the country of origin for employee, spouse and three children below 18 years old for taking annual leave in case of renewal of the contract of employment.
