Experienced English as a Foreign Language teachers with teacher training, early childhood, and Middle Eastern or Islamic environment teaching experience are being sought to serve as Senior English Language Fellows in Libya during the 2005-2006 academic year. These Fellowships will be an ideal opportunity for mature TESOL professionals who are interested in this pioneering experience. The Fellowships are sponsored by the United States Department of State and administered by the School for International Training.

Selected professionals will conduct teacher training and other support activities for local teachers including team teaching in the English language classroom.

The Fellowships are subject to selected Fellows being granted Libyan visas. Please note that given the current lack of appropriate U.S quality schooling for children in Libya, applicants with children should carefully consider if this opportunity is right for them.

Minimum requirements for application include:

-3 years of teaching experience in a Middle Eastern or Islamic environment
-5 years of teacher training experience
-5 years of early childhood teaching experience
-Flexibility, professional attitude and a pioneering spirit
-U.S. Citizenship
-Masters in TESOL (or closely related degree)

If you meet these criteria and are interested in this remarkable opportunity, please send your CV as soon as possible to Rob Hardin at the School for International Training. elf.info@sit.edu
