Primary school English teachers needed for Abu Dhabi educational zone, UAE

Zayed University is working closely with the Abu Dhabi Education Zone to further its innovative and ambitious plans to enhance the quality of English language instruction in the nation's school system. This is an opportunity for experienced primary school teachers to contribute to the implementation of new teaching methods and curricula in UAE classrooms. While both male and female teachers are required, there is a particular need for male teachers.

Teachers will be active in the classroom, teaching English to Grade 1 and 4 students, and they will be expected to have a role in team-teaching with current teachers. They will also provide practical teacher development and training opportunities. A further role will be to work with curriculum and assessment developers to create culturally appropriate materials that further the English language and intellectual needs of primary school students.

The Requirements

Successful candidates must possess:
* A bachelor's degree combined with a recognized teaching qualification at the primary school level.
* Three years of full-time primary school teaching experience.
* Experience using technology in classroom teaching and learning.
* Outstanding English fluency, both written and spoken.

Other desired qualifications include:
* Further training and/or experience teaching English as a foreign or second language.
* Primary school level materials writing and curriculum design experience.
* Middle East teaching experience.
* Fluency in Arabic and English is required for Grade 1 teachers and is preferred for Grade 4 teachers.
