English teacher needed at King Faisal School, Saudi Arabia

As part of the King Faisal School's drive to improve the quality of its educational provision, the English Department wishes to fill a vacancy which has arisen due to reorganization. The English Department is one of the most successful academic divisions in the King Faisal School and is seeking a suitably qualified professional for the post below:

General English Teacher (Elementary)

A General English Teacher is required to work with students in the Elementary Section of the English Department. This post includes project work, remedial teaching, team teaching and covering duties. We are in the pilot stage of various new projects including English festivals, "Movie Learn" initiatives and proactive classroom management strategies; we would welcome a flexible teacher well-versed in the communicative approach.

Start Date: February 11th, 2006

Pay and Conditions

1. 33,300 USD (inc. bonus) per calendar year, tax free
2. Free spacious apartment
3. Transport allowance or shared car
4. 3 months holiday per year (approximately)
5. Medical and dental insurance
6. One return flight per year
7. 24 teaching periods per week (40 minutes per class)

Minimum Criteria

Native English speaker (British, US, Canadian, Irish, Australian, NZ)
55 Years old or under
Male
Bachelor's degree in English or Education
5 years teaching experience
Elementary teaching experience
Computer literate
Non-smoker
Fit to work in Saudi Arabia

Desirable Criteria

Master's Degree in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL or Education
Teaching Certificate (CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, QTS etc.)
Remedial teaching experience
5 years elementary teaching experience
Team teaching experience
Middle-Eastern experience
