The American Cultural Association of Morocco (
http://aca.org.ma ), a non-governmental, cultural-educational association which has overseen the running of the American Language Centers of Morocco since the mid-1970s, is seeking applicants for the position of Center Director for its Rabat center. This center, with a Fall enrollment of over 2200 students, is the largest EFL specialist in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
The ideal candidate for this position should have an MA or MS in TESOL, at least four years of international administrative/supervisory experience, the ability to set and oversee budgets and standard financial data, a communicative level of French and/or Arabic, computer literacy, and a high degree of cultural sensitivity. She or he would also be someone with EFL/ESL classroom experience and the ability to work harmoniously with both native and non-native English speaking staff that numbers more than 40 full- and part-time teachers and over 18 support and admin people. By the statutes under which the ACA operates in Morocco, the candidate must also be a citizen of the United States.
The ACA offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, a private retirement plan, and medical coverage. A relocation stipend is also available. The current contract is for two years renewable, to begin as of September 01, 2006.
