The Faculty of Arts at the University of Jordan (UJ) has a few job openings in the Department of English Language and Literature and the Department of Linguistics. The former is looking for native speakers of English who have an accredited Ph.D. degree (a must) in literature, linguistics or translation (Arabic-English) from a country in which English is the mother tongue (preferably from a reputable university), or Jordanian nationals who have a Ph.D. in any of the said fields from a country in which English is the mother tongue. The appointment is for one year minimum and renewable by mutual consent. The Faculty of Arts is the oldest faculty (the first to be established) at UJ (which itself is the oldest university in the country. The University of Jordan is located in the heart of the capital Amman, which itself is located in the heart of the Middle East. Foreign nationals enjoy the various opportunities that the university, the capital (Amman), and the country (Jordan) offer: historically, culturally, linguistically, etc. All are encouraged to apply, including young, fresh graduates. If interested, please send CV or address inquiries to the Dean of Arts at: arts@ju.edu.jo
