Just bought my FTO but it is missing the small black cap that fits over the spindle of the speedometer.

Phoned my local Mitsubishi dealer and they don't sell the caps, but offered to sell me a new speedo, which'll be a couple of hundred quid.

Does anybody know if I can get the speedo cap without having to buy a whole new speedo?

Thanks for any help.

John.

my best guess would be to try companies that deal with used fto parts try www.jappexlimited.co.uk.

Are your dials differently coloured from the original ones? (ie black) if so it is likely that whoever fitted them didnt do an amazingly good job and either lost the cap or it has fallen off and is lurking inside your speedo assembly somewhere. Have you looked?

I've sent that website a message - thanks for that.

My guess is the cap was lost when the speedo was modded to read mph. I didn't notice it before I bought it, but now it's really annoying.

The cap has not fallen off as it isn't inside the unit - not that I can see anyway.
