I purchased my FTO about 2 weeks ago and I am changing insurance companies as Direct Line will only insure for theft with a tracker fitted.

Anyway, my car has a veilside front body kit with side skirts and has also had it's suspension lowered already.

For the purposes of getting a quote I need to find out how much the body kit is worth and also how much the suspension has been lowered.

I was able to find the kit on an American website with the following cost for kit only excluding painting and fitting

Front Bumper
$820.00 = £554.330
Side Skirts
$610.00 = £412.367

So thats about £1000 for just the kit - should I just give that as the estimate?

Also, how can I find out how much the suspension has been lowered? If someone can tell me the unlowered height then I will be able to work it out.

Thanks for any help.

John.

The only reason they want to know the price of the body kit, cause if anything happened to the car, i.e. it was in a crash, they want to know how much it is gonna cost them etc......

my fto is lowered 40mm at the front and 20mm at the back, I think these are very common lowering figures for the fto !
