If you go back to Patek's history and browse through the classic references you will be in a better position to understand the cultural shock Patek rendered upon loyal supporters like us.

I have nothing aganist Patek in modernising, in fact, that is the way to go. But modernising and avant garde are 2 different things, IMHO.
