Watches is a Hobby I have for quite a lot of years now, even though I' m still young...
My Dad brought the Hobby Home, and when I was a teenager, he started by giving me Watches... Even if by then, I didn' t care much about it.
I collect Watches for few Years now...
Now, my Dad is not here anymore, but the Hobby still is here....
And little by little, I started to learn more, and discover more great Watches and Brands....
And yesterday, I went to pick up my Patek Philippe.
I didn' t have one, and even if sometimes I would blame Patek Philippe' s Policy, I still believe it is a great Watch Brand... Even if I don' t like some Models...
So I went to try some few Weeks ago, and I found the one I like a lot...
Here it is...
By the way, thank you to all of the Patek Philippe' s Fans, and also to Dave in Whales....;

A true classic. Just tried it on today in YG, but like the WG and RG even better.

Congrats! and Buckle question

November 20 2006, 1:18 AM

Wonderful watch! I have a question regarding the buckle: what is the standard buckle this watch comes with? Dave in Wales had a different one, you have the "round" one and then there's also the folding clasp.

Thanks and congrats again,
Peter

Good remarks....; ;-)

The Original Buckle which comes with the 5127G is a non deployant one, with a kind of v shape....
But I ordered with it the Deployant one, as I prefer the Logo.
And I heard it make the Leather less used...
Thank you.

I think the Calatrava Buckle helps make the watch more classic
I also order the buckle for myself. It is perfect for 5127.
Your pictures remind me how much I love wearing this piece daily on my weekdays
Very Stealth and so Elegant.

Beautiful watch...

November 21 2006, 1:50 PM

and I love the Calatrava deployant. On all the PP watches which use it, it is most appropriate for the Calatrava series, IMHO. I also got one and it makes my ref. 5053 come to life even when the face is turned away from me.

Wear it in the best of health.
