      I don't think it has so much to do with the book, but who is there to help her understand and practice the concepts. I use the first book as it covers important topics that are necessary to understand the basis of anger.
      Has your daughter had testing done to rule out more organic issues around her behavior such as testing for different mental health issues?
      I think so long as she has the right supports around her and is able to comprehend and practice the material in real life situations, then either book would be appropriate, but I would still go with the first one, then the second.
