How can I get my 13 year old son motivated enough to pass 8th grade? He doesn't seem to care that his grades are poor. He is not "classified" nor should he be. He just doesn't seem to care. Help

I'm not sure i can help! But being of school age i used to be like your son, not caring about my grades and prefered being the class clown. Luckily i had a long think during the summer and have come to my senses, purely from realising you don't get anywhere in life without qualifications. Try asking your son maybe what he wants to be when his older, e.g soccer player or police man! And say to him that he'll never get to do what he wants if he doesn't knuckle down and get his grades. If that doesn't help, then maybe if you have a male friend or a brother (male figure) to approach him and have a chat with him. Thats my advice! I hope it helps!
