Your coaches have Tie Breaker Rules listed in rules that we handed out at registration. I will review and give you a scenario. If still in question, please have your coach call me to explain further @ 339-0728.
COED C American has three teams finishing with 1 loss, so I will use this as my example and you can reference that standing page to further understand. Here we go...............
Glenmont 9-1
Poppy's 9-1
Bazooko Circus 9-1
You take the head to head record against ALL teams involved in the tie. So, Glenmont beat Poppy's and did not play Bazooko Circus - giving them a head to head record of 1-0. Poppy's lost to Glenmont and beat Bazooko Circus - giving them a head to head record of 1-1. Bazooko Circus lost to Poppy's and did not play Glenmont - giving them a head to head record of 0-1.
If a team was tied in this scenario, run differential would be the next tie breaker to determine seedings. Example - Say Bazooko Circus played Glenmont and won, everyone would be tied with 1-1 head to head record. At this point - the team with better run differential (net) becomes the higher seed. So the standings would end up Poppy's (1), Glenmont (2), Bazooko Circus (3).
Hope this helps - call with questions. Please note that the program used to post scores and standings calculates are tie breakers and posts them accordingly. When all scores are reported I review tie breakers for accuracy and list final seedings by placing team names in playoff schedule post.
Thanks-Mike
