also, only 4 teams in B1? i thought there was a either gonna be a schedule adjustment with some B-2 teams thrown in, or just scrap the B-1 all together....

ok so, just because i know im not the only one who is going to ask this but... we have a few players on our fall team that are on playoff teams from the summer league. if we win our playoff game friday, and the next game interferes with our fall schedule, what happens then?
i realize due to weather concerns you guys didnt have much of a choice but whats going to happen iof there is a schedule conflict, of which we arent sure is going to happen until the weekend.

I am the Co-Captain for the fall Lock It Up team in Coed B-2. I know Nancy has sent e-mails but has not heard anything other than the sentence posted here. Why is it that we cannot receive a refund if we are paying the same as the other teams and only get 9 games as opposed to their 10? Just out of curiosity how many teams in each of the divisions that play 10 games make the playoffs? To me playoffs should be something a team has to earn not be included in their regular season.
As far as I can see we have 10 teams which is why we only have 9 games. Why can't a 10th game be added by playing 1 team twice at random. I don't think anyone would complain about an extra home/away game if they are allowed to play 10 regular season games just as the rest of the league since we are paying the same amount. As I recall last year there was one team in our division that we didn't play because there were 12. So why can't the opposite hold true and play 1 team twice for this year? Since it is only 2 division that this holds true for that would mean 10 more games which I would assume is doable at some point. Thanks for any response.

There are a couple people on our team that are looking to move to Coed C teams to be able to play a full 10 game schedule. This would hurt our B-2 team as our full-time players are limited with plenty of options for subs. But if we are playing subs at every game, we will not be able to field a team for playoffs because people won't have enough games. Speaking of which if we stay at the 9 game schedule does this mean everyone needs 1 less game to be playoff eligible or does that still not change and we can use people in our first playoff game (10th game) that are not playoff eligible because it is a guaranteed game from the beginning of the season?

I know it probably pointless arguing over already posted schedules. The likelihood of any schedule change to this extent is probably extremely slim.
But, in the event this "9 Game instead of 10 Game" scenario happens in the future. You could have the Co-Ed B1 teams play each other only twice each giving them 5 games and then have them play 5 different Co-Ed B2 teams.
Obviously for that to happen you would need to limit the Co-Ed B2 teams to only 8 games so each B2 team would play 2 B1 teams.
This way each team and every league plays 10 regular season games and we have B1 & B2 cross-over games. That a few people including Frank had mentioned.
Just giving my two cents.

Having the crossover games, especially not just one would might as well just make it one division. That would clearly hurt the B1 teams, especially in regard to pitching and probably drop more B-2 teams down a level.
Also, I agree nothing is probably going to be done with the schedule at this point, but by just playing a team a second time wouldn't involve the current schedule to be altered, just 1 game for each team (total of 10 for 2 divisions) to be added at the end of the schedule. I'm not positive but with the number of fields I would assume this could be done in 1 day.
However, part of the point was asking about a refund because some players were seriously considering playing in C to get 10 games PLUS playoffs not 9 and a playoff game.

balls deep mens b3 signed up for saturday games and got all weekday games.. it even had it posted on the sheets we requested saturdays and the past few years we played double headers saturday mornings.. basically all the weekday teams would play 1 saturday game & it was verse us. we didn't even get one saturday game!! this could be a big problem so if someone could get back to me asap concerning this i would appreciate it. plus our sister team spinners signed up for weekday games and got a few saturday games lol. i emailed and left a voicemail regarding this as well

the whole idea of "everyone making the playoffs giving all teams at least ten games" is great for the teams that normally wouldnt have made the playoffs but it still robs the good teams that would have made the playoffs anyway of a game...why cant we just force some C teams up to b2 and some b2 teams up to b1...it seems pretty easy and logical to me

Our team also agrees with the above posts regarding having 10 regular season games. We were under the impression that was what was paid for with the registration fee.

I also agree with the above posters re: paying for 10 games plus playoffs. The paperwork provided to us specifically says "10 regular season games/playoffs".
In addition, Frank's post of July 29th specifically says "The fall season will be 10 weeks and 10 games plus playoffs."
At registration, Frank and I briefly discussed crossover games with some B2 teams as a solution to the low number of B1 registrants. This was perfectly acceptable to me as I have a B2 pitcher on my B1 team; so this 9-game B1 only schedule caught me by surprise.
I will be contacting Frank to make arrangements to discuss this on behalf of all of us who were taken by surprise, hopefully in person. Since the schedule is already out and it would be difficult to change at this point given the high number of teams, I hope he will consider one of several potential compromises, including refunds OR maybe double elimination playoffs for the coed B1 and B2 divisions.

Losing a Coed B1 team at the last minute cancelled the original plan. The simple solution is to add one game to each teams schedule at the end of the regular season.
Every team will have 10 games and the Coed B2 will now have 8 teams advance to the playoffs.
The remaining scheduling issues in the above posts will be handled.
Each player must play in 5 games to qualify for the fall playoffs.
