Yeah pilots usually do suck that way...but keep in mind there's no real sense of 'character' yet in a pilot because it's the first ep and if it even GETS aired it's usually not expected to make it....with a show like hunter the characters were 'made' over the next 7 years. I too thought that scream was a little silly.
