I've been thinking about this because there are two shows that are failing while still airing on the original network, and are also being shown on The USA Network.
Anyone seen the new show "Karen Sisco"? I thought I'd like it. I don't. It's about a female U.S deputy/bounty hunter or something, and she tends to sleep with all the men she captures...
Anyway, the show was new to ABC this year, and has been replaced on some nights, and had reruns going very quickly. At the same time, USA has been showing it from the begining episodes.
Another show... "Monk" with Tony Shaloub (sp) also played Antonio on "Wings" in the '90's, airs on either ABC or CBS, and is failing. It was taken off last season and brought back again. It has also been aired recently on USA.
And. Isn't "JAG" still on in its regular slot on CBS...also on USA? I'm not sure of it's orignal network because I've never followed the show.
Has The USA Network done this with any of NBC's shows?
I was thinking maybe those with "Hunter" could get a deal with them. I tried to email USA months ago when "Hunter" was cancelled again, but I couldn't find the email addy on the site, or the page wouldn't open..I don't remember. I just know I never got the letter to them. Not from lack of trying.
I've seen a little of Spike TV, which is supposed to be a network for men/people who like action shows. The A-Team airs there, and I heard an ad where viewers want Magnum P.I. I think Hunter would fit in great. An action show, with a pretty girl too. I'm going to try to find some info. on Spike TV and see if I can email them. If I get the address, I'll post it here.
I plan to ask Fred and SJ Cannell about the idea of getting in touch with both networks. Maybe we all could ask them.
Thoughts?
