Response to US Tape debate and Hunter on British TV

I lived in Glasgow, Scotland, particularly Red Road Court. It was a 30-story high rise and my flat was on the 27th floor. Those galeforce winds over there made my apartment sway! All I remember is that I took the 12, 12A or 16 bus to get back and forth to town. I attended Glasgow University.

I traveled extensively through Scotland, and my very favorite place was Aberdeen. Just beautiful! I also went to Loch Ness, Inverness, St. Andrews (I stood on the 18th hole there, LOL), Edinburgh, EVERYWHERE. We traveled most of Scotland on the weekends and when college was finished in mid-March, my girlfriend and I took our Scotrail pass and traveled by train through Scotland, England & Wales.

Many, many sheep. And so green! I loved Cardiff Castle. I recall wanting to have my wedding reception there. Spent 7 days in London. We even went to Brighton and Canterbury. (I read Canterbury Tales and wanted to see the real place!) Let's not forget the white cliffs of Dover! We youth hosteled the entire time.

Unfortunately, it RAINED like every damn day were in the U.K. I've never seen weather quite like it . . . bone-chilling, damp cold. Ugh. But the liquor sure warmed us up and we didn't seem to mind! LOL.

Do they still make Cadbury Double-Decker candy bars over there? I'd love to get my hands on some . . .

Cheerio!
