You know, you've probably seen more of the uk than I have and I've lived here all my life (nearly 25 years)!!! I live in North Wales right on the coast at the top. Its really nice to live by the sea ( a two minute walk away) even in the winter. You're right the weather is soooo bad sometimes but I suppose you get used to it! I've been to cardiff a couple of times but it is quite far away from here, probably not by your standards but its about a 4 hr drive away. I really liked the castle too, in fact Wales is a really good country for castles - they're everywhere!
I've been to london about 3 times now. I couldn't stay for more than about a week though, its far too hectic for my liking. No way could I live there, I prefer the peace and quiet of the countryside! Plus, I'd probably get far too much road rage if I had to drive around london!!!
Hopefully I will get to Scotland in the summer. Myself and my friend, also called Jo, are planning to get our travelling boots on. Its like I said before, we've lived here all our lives and hardly seen any of the country. I think we'll probably stay in youth hostels as well. In fact, I used to work in a youth hostel in Llanberis which is a village in the Snowdonia National Park at the bottom of Wales' highest mountain 'Snowdon'. I really enjoyed it, its such a friendly atmosphere.
I can't wait.
ps yeah, they still make double deckers!!! I LOVE double deckers. I haven't had one for ages. I remember eating them in school, I used to peel of the top bit, eat the crunchy bottom bit first and then the top bit after. Mmmmmmmmmmm lovely. If I'm ever coming over to the US I'll make sure I bring a load with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
