I'm really enjoying the first season of Hunter. Or can you tell that from my episode reviews.
I still have seven episodes to go, but even at this stage there are a couple of general comments I'd like to make.
The John Amos character has started to grate on my nerves.

His relationship with Hunter strikes one-note, and the character is basically a one-note character. I know a different approach to the character of the captain was tried successfully later on, but does anyone else agree that Hunter & McCall endlessly fighting with their captain is tiresome?
Also: the Hunter premise, at the start, is about a bad-ass tough-cop, who's prepared to step outside the law to see that justice is done. It's interesting that the producers seem to put him up against darker versions of himself. "Long Way From LA", "Snow Queen" and "Dead Or Alive" feature characters who appear - at first glance - to be just like Hunter: they use strong-arm tactics in their pursuit of the bad-guys. The difference, of course, is that they go too far. Is this, I wonder, an attempt by the producers to make the Hunter character seems less extreme and more palatable to a TV audience used to watching less aggressive detectives?
I'd also love to know what people think of the first season. Is it the best? Worst? Is it representative of the show.
I just love hearing other people's reviews. For instance, it was interesting to find out that "Snow Queen" isn't really popular here at the board, or that "Rape & Revenge" is such a strong favourite.
Looking forward to your comments,
