I think I can see what you mean about Season One. Sometimes, it doesn't seem all that different to The A-Team in style.
It's interesting that you rate Season Three so highly. I haven't seen much Hunter, but I have seen Season Three, and I think it is quite superb. "Castro Connection", "True Confessions" and "A Child Is Born" are ones that I remember as really impessing me.
It's a few years now since I watched that season, and I'm looking forward to watching it all again very soon.
