Response to Re: Fools Rush In; part 14

It's quite obvious that you like the strong and fearless McCall. I do too. But, we've seen it so much that I thought I'd put her in a situation that no one would expect. I guess I should have warned you.

Fanfiction writers do whatever they want with "fictional" stories and that's what I'm doing.

You asked - How much longer is Dee Dee going to be this pathetic victim who keeps coming back for more punishment? Well, I can only tell you to keep reading to find out. If you don't want to suffer through it, maybe you can ask someone to let you know when things look brighter for Dee Dee. If I let that happen.

I don't know how else to explain why I'm writing it this way. I did my best in the other reply.

You said "The character we know from the television series would never have put up with any of it." Wouldn't she? If we had the chance to see actual "Hunter" episodes that featured Dr. and Mrs. Turnan, do you not think the writers might have had her in a bad marriage? Maybe like in my story, she would have changed..not knowing how to handle herself in this situation.

If McCall had come back to the show, she could very well have left an abusive Alex. We don't know what kind of trauma she'd have suffered.

Or, they could have written in that she and Alex stayed in LA, and he treated her like crap. She might have hidden it from Rick for a while and when he found out, he really went off on Alex. Who knows.

In the new movies/eps. they had planned to write in that Alex and her baby were both killed in an accident. That's not a good thing either, but the fans would have seen her go through it. It may not have been as strong as what I'm writing, but still...

In "Rape & Revenge" she was terrified. But she had Rick and a counselor to get her through it. In my story, she has no one. At least that's how she feels. Alex has made her believe that she only has him. This type of thing can actually happen to the strongest of women. I haven't lived it, thank God, (hope I'm never a victim) but I have done research and I know someone that has gone through something a lot like this. When you're scared enough that someone says they'll kill you if you go against them, you won't go against them.

Oh, well.

Anyway. I appreciate your comment about my writing being good.
