I like your view on the subject of my fic. You and Barb really seem to be getting exactly what I'm doing. I also think it might be harder for a woman to leave an abusive husband than a boyfriend. There are certain ties and a bonded trust..if you will, that might cause a married woman to feel obligated to stay and try to make it work, or hope for the best. A lot of women, even today, feel that going through hell in a marriage is all a part of it, since their mothers went through it and told them it's just all a part of it.
