What a week. Sunday night ( or was it monday night ??), late, still messing about with Hunter, playing the episode "Avenging Angel", I did something that I couldn't undo.
Seems like the PC started "broadcasting" in NTSC or something, and the monitor couldn't receive the signal anymore. So, the PC would start to boot up, but as soon as the OS started up... Blank screen followed by the words "Out Of Range".
Crap.
That took a few days to sort out.
Ended up going into Safe Mode, and then using System Restore. Having even gone so far as to remove the battery to wipe CMOS/BIOS thingy. (which didn't work at all).
Finally got it up and running again yesterday.
Crazy week.
So...
Not really having any success at all.
PAL tapes are fine, though. Just the NTSC. In other words... my Hunter tapes from LM.
But, I intend to surf the web and see what else is out there. There must be somebody, somewhere, dealing with NTSC tapes in an otherwise PAL environment. Or, there must be one of those real techie forums I could post on.
I don't intend to give up in this.
Of course, after months of heartache, I'll probably show up here some day to find out that Cannell is releasing the whole series!!!
