Hi LM,
Well, I'm still tinkering away. And...
I've now got a pretty okay picture.
In Black And White.
And, I think, it's slightly scrunched up. So everyone is a little less tall and a little more...
um, wide.
Can't figure out why the colour has vanished. As for the "scrunching" up effect, it's probably got something to do with the different number of lines between PAL and NTSC. The result is a black bar across the top and bottom of the picture.
It was there during capture, but it's not there during playback, so it may not be on the disk when I burn it. At the moment all I did was the opening credits to an episode, so I haven't bothered burning that to a disk.
One of these nights I'll be watching "Fire Man" I think. So I'll have a stab at making a VCD of that. And let you all know what the result it like.
Speaking of Fire Man, I see that William Russ is in it.
Cool. Ever since WiseGuy I've been a huge fan of that guy. Think he wound up on some bland sit-com (Boy Meets World??) which is a pity. Powerful actor, buckwheat.
Anyway, gotta go explore the mysteries of NTSC/PAL conversion some more!!!
