"We Got It Made" gets bad press.

But I've always liked it.

Maybe this has something to do with the fact that I was 13 when I first saw it, or more importantly when I first saw Teri Copley (the star).

Anyways, I recently purchased the series off eBay.

I've watched two episodes. What can I say? It's dumb. Very dumb. But, it is funny. Especially Tom Villard's character who comes out with very stupid lines when under pressure (which happens a lot on this show).

Episode Two was the best, and it was the one where Stepfanie Kramer got the most to do.

The basic premise is that Teri Copley (if you haven't seen her, think Marilyn Monroe) has just been employed as a maid by two guys, and one of them is going out with SK. SK's character isn't happy. In the pilot she storms out when she sees Teri for the first time. But episode two the Teri Copley character is so nervous about Claudia (the SK character) that she starts sleepwalking. With 'hilarious' results. Well, it is a dumb sit-com.

After lots of hokey running around (people hiding in closets, that kind of thing) the episode ending with a long scene between Teri and Stepfanie. And, it was really good. Up this this, the Claudia character had been written one-note. But in this scene the new maid starts to cry in case she is going to lose her job and Stepfanie's character warms to her and stops being mean.

Stepfanie, of course, is terrific. Her warmth comes through suddenly and the audience starts to like Claudia. She's a natural with studio audience.

It would be good to see SK is another sit-com.
