Return to Justice movie

Okay, a little over 2 years ago when Return to Justice aired, I of course was excited and taped it. However, I fell asleep on it and only saw about a quarter of the movie. I just watched it all last nigh

By the way, I just found out that SK's daughter was in the movie. Cute scene. Boy, I really was out of it to not know that.

But there are some things I must comment on....Hunter ladies...we're family right? Can we talk?

McCallisms:

1. McCall's acting at the end when her fiance was killed was excellent! That is the best crying scene I have ever seen her do! It was very believable and she was actually crying. Althought a great actress, some of her crying scenes on the original Hunter series were not always the greatest. For instance, in "Requiem for Sgt. McCall" I am not crazy about the scene after she finds out her husband was killed; it seemed like she was acting. So, she has majorly improved.

2. I also must comment on the end of the movie after the interment of McCall's fiance. Okay, that was a very large black hat she was wearing. I mean that was a big ol' church hat!. LOL LOL She looks good in hats but, wow that was big. I couldn't focus on the seriousness of the scene because of that hat.

Negatives:

1. The story line was somewhat humdrum. I mean...KGB? Plus, it was so repetitive. I don't know....I just wasn't feeling it.

2. It was decent how they started out the movie with Hunter's partner being killed. It was extremely sad, but it was a good lead and rationale for his journey to San Francisco. However, it was sad and Hunter seemed very sad during throughout movie.

3. The biggest problem with this movie was that it was not the real "Hunter." What made Hunter such a success was H&M's relationship and interaction. They had a good relationship in this movie, but there was not enough interaction. The main thing is that there was no banter and playfulness. That is what made Hunter wonderful and that was the missing ingredient from this movie, the second movie, and the new Hunter series. I realize they have aged, but they seemed like they were a little out of it and were rather sullen. They were almost cranky. LOL The tone was too serious. I didn't expect them to wreck cars like they used to, but they never made any jokes, or had any classic Hunter fun. It was almost a little sad.

3. Also, McCall's character was so serious. She would usually perk up here and there during the original series, but she almost seemed somber. Hunter already had a slight serious side on the original series, but McCall could be light-hearted. She was not light-hearted at all in this movie. Another thing is McCall did not look like herself in "Return to Justice." I can't put my finger on it, but there is something about her face that looks kind of stressed and pulled. Her voice was even slightly different.

Okay, what do you think?
