You know - I couldn't agree with you more, Sporty. I went through the very same thing on the Xfiles. I can't think of the last season (well, S8, too, really) as canon for the show. It would have been perfect if both stars had left instead of one and then, with the new agents brought in - a kind of "next generation thing". Granted - original fans might not have stayed fans - but it sure wouldn't have pissed 'em off so badly as having the creators literally
ruin the show, IMHO.
Just thinking of it as a show w/ FD, instead of a Hunter show - works for me
