I had a really nice time. My brother surprised me with a few friends at Ryan's for dinner. He asked where I wanted to go, and I told him I was in the mood for buffet, so that's where we went. I met him there as I was already out running errands, and was surprised when I got there; assuming he'd be alone. One of the guests; a friend, also has a birthday on the 10th. She had to leave early for night-shift at work, but we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit. I got to see their two babies and took some pictures with everyone. The waiters sang The Birthday song, but the other b'day girl had already left when they came to the table. Her husband ate her piece of chocolate cake. Hee hee! I got some cards, nice gifts, and red velvet cake. There's a guy who really likes me, who couldn't make the dinner, but said he'd get me a gift later. We'll see.
I'm so sorry to hear about your injuries. They sound pretty serious.
I do hope you'll have a quick and proper recovery. And I know, if you could have sent a card, you would have. Not to worry.
