Hey Kids.

This is just an update on the terribly exciting world of the Fightin' Amish as it stands at the moment.

Our next show is on Friday June 7th at the Paddington Worker's Club with Systemless from Singapore. I'm pretty damn excited about this, given that i have a minor obsession with Asian punk rock bands (well, I only really know Japanese ones, but I'm sure that the rest of Asia has quality punk rock as well). This will be the first time we've ever played landed an "international support slot". Gosh, this would look great on our resume, if we had one. Also on the bill for this show are Toadracer (damn fine indie-rock), Slippery Roger (read Riva's forum post), and Bezza & the Bandits (i think it's only their second show this century).

After that, the only thing we have booked is Ramone-a-thon, which you can find out more about at http://www.ramone-a-thon.live.com.au (this show's with Supersnazz, also from Asia, and absolutely fucking fantastic). It looks like John will be touring Sydney with his dayjob, Dick Nasty, so we will either have to find a fill-in (or fill-ins) for the night, or drumming duties will have to be shared between James and myself, which could be, ah, interesting.
We should also have a few "guest stars" on the night, but more about that another time.

Both these shows are all-ages, as will be all of our shows from now on. I might write something either here or on the website about our reasoning for this sometime soon, but i don't think I will tonight, because I'm mildly sick.

Hopefully, we'll be able to get in a couple of shows between the next one and Ramone-a-thon. There has been some talk of us doing a show with a couple of hardcore bands from down south sometime soon, but I'll wait until we know more before I say anything about that. It'll be groovy if that show goes ahead, if only because it will probably upset a few uptight hardcore types if we get to play.

In other news, we should be finally doing a recording of some sort soon. Hopefully we'll get most or all of our songs recorded, but I have no idea what we'll do with them once we've recorded them.

I'm sick of typing. I believe I'll press "post" now.

Thats very cool that you are doing all ages shows, how very fugazi of you! I say this as I have been kicked out of one of your shows for being underage before, but I wont say which show or which member of the Bonapartes staff ejected us, as well as the rest of the crowd and bands a few hours later.

See You @ The Paddo Workers

It sure is Fugazi of us, but we're no stoppng there. I'm going to be shaving my head, getting my ears pinned forward, losing 6 inches in height, and accidentally starting a pseudo-religious puritanical youth movement.
