Unitech in Modern TIMES???????`````

had a recent visit at Unitech, its was sad and tot of mentioning somethings so obvious.

Library:

the air conditioning doesn't work anymore and the carpet stings and is not conducive for a weak heart, you'll definitely get sick. It posses a major health risk.

Can't believe that those books i've seen decades ago are still there. when will the administrator, a pastor like VC, will think like a priest???? THis is a disgrace for a primier tech university in the pacific apart form aussie and nz. how is the VC, Misty Baloiloi going to achieve his much preached objectives of producing the best and well qualified HR?????

ICT infrastructures:

The computer infrastructure is no match to some of the recent established universities like DWU. Unitech should be the role model in introducing innovative technologies to PNG, but its not the case. You can really tell that from its website. thats crap!!!

Internet is a joke when UOT is the supplier to the .pg domain. Its freaken slower then my 56KBs dialup. Don't know how students are doing their research and knowledge building. I saw a student struggling to download a 2MB pdf resource file and i thought, whats this???? then it was a sad case when the squid wouldn't allow a student to go to a genuine blog relating to what he was researching on. this is weird!!!!! INFORMATION IS NOT EASILY ACCESSIBLE!!!!!

Lecturers:

Oh by the way.....WHERE HAVE ALL THE NATIONAL AND EXPARTRIATE EXPERTS GONE???? AND WHY?????? THOSE DAYS OF UNDERGRADS THOUGHT BY MASTERS, PHD holders including PROFs HAVE GONE. I'VE SEEN ALOT OF YOUNG FIRST DEGREE HOLDERS ROAMING THE CAMPUS. I asked someone and he said "...bata, bikpla samding em mi laik kisim mambu (certificate). wokples em narapla something...". And another i asked said "...the best lecturers and technicians are leaving and have left the university in search for places they could work at ease with the administration..." oh by the way, i think i saw Dr. Samuel Kopamo at UPNG, is he working there now??? jezzzzzzzzz...there must be something wrong.

Something must be done to lift the standard again to its good old days.

Liklik tingting blo mi tzol

regardless, keep flying unitech flag higher.
