In any society there are norms that most members of society are wanbel about. The way the society stays cohesive is because members of the society judge the behaviour of others against those norms. People respond better to peer pressure than they do to self control efforts. Put all that together and Im not at all cleaer why you think there should b e no judging of the behaviour of others. Actually, it is a central activity in any functional society, and this particular behaviour, because it so often causes deep pain or grief, should be especially frowned upon.
