The boycott is a classic example of the blind leading the blind. The petition and the march was all good, i was even a part of that. But when it came to the boycott questions had to be asked.. Do students threaten to use physical force on others not supporting there cause for boycott in other countries? I doubt it. The reason the boycott failed was because the student leaders were to dim witted to properly educate even the students on why they should boycott. All they basically said was bill is bad, it will ruin our country, if your true Papua New Guinean than you support to the end. I watched as when someone was brave enough to question those so called leaders, all they got was verbal threats.. Even watching them talk at the forum, they had some drunk idiot addressing everybody. And they wonder why people aren't talking them seriously anymore.
Anyway the bill has already been passed as a law, do you still think boycotting was the best thing SRC could've done?
