Dude, Unix is old, it is just the same as MS-DOS, which you already have..so what you do is use you command prompt while still is Windows cause that way is better

Hey, i can keep dreaming all i want...im 18 so i've got years ahead of me....asking someone for an opinion isn't the worst or dumbest thing in the world..just like philosophy different opinions about what is best exist, and considering i haven't done programming it would be wise for me to ask before i throw myself in to the deep..i would've expected someone who knew programming to be a bit sharper than you..
Anywho thanx for the reply first dude, if i do get rid of windows would i still be able to use my pc for regular activities?(games, music, internet e.t.c) what language(s) shuld i start learning??

Bro,
just create two partitions when installing windows. One for Linux installation and one for Windows. Install windows on the first partition with NTFS format and leave the other partition unformatted to install Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc...). after installing windows put the Linux OS installation CD and boot from CD. It will automatically ask you to install Linux on the unformatted partition.

Hope this helps
