I read the article regarding a 1974 Blockbuster Hit. The two lead actors were given credit/ top billing in terms of arrangement of cast name in the poster of Movie " The Towering Inferno".
I started to think about that in our chinese movies. In Shaw Brothers Movie Posters, quite often they try to arrange the names on the left hand side and right hand side of the movie poster so that each of them appeared to be first whether you read from the left hand side of the poster or right hand side of the poster. In the Shaw Brothers Movie, quite often the actor/ actress names were not dispayed in the beginning part of the movie but were displayed one by one at the moment when the actor/ actress first appeared in the movie.
As for Taiwan Movies, I don't find any special arrangement of cast names except for Yu Shi Qi Feng Shi. This movie had special arrangement of the names of six actors/ actresses being displayed at the beggining part of the movie. |
