This is a wonderful site! Thankyou- I think Arvo Part creates the most beautiful music in the world. I believe his music to have the true ability to "heal" the listener. I'm very excited to know about this resource web site- I'm going to be doing a course this fall at university studying only Part's music. Very excited!

I am currently listening to Agnus Dei and have just listened to Spiegel Im Spiegel.
The tears are coursing down my cheeks. This is as close to perfection in music as it is possible to get.
With people of this callibre in the world there is hope for us yet.
We should all bask in the glory that is Arvo Part.

I've discovered Arvo Pärt's music a few years ago, and from then I've never managed to kick it out of my mind. He creates a unique synthesis between medieval music and "modern" sounds. Maybe history of music, which is sinking in post-modernity, should end with Arvo Pärt.

I also heard the music of Arvo Part and it has shaken me so I tried to get the score for piano cello and violin and found it all at Hug Music in Zurich. It was well wrapped and I had it in 3 weeks. On very special days when I'm alone in the house I play all the parts singly and accompanied by his CD. This is a very special person to write this sort of music.
