Text for Orient & Occident

Hi there, I am an honours composition student who has been researching Pärt's music this year. As part of my dissertation I'm looking to analyse one of Pärt's instrumental compositions in which a text forms the structural basis for the work (using the number of syllables in each word, stressed syllables, punctuation, etc.), as in his choral music. I know that Psalom and Trisagion were written like this, but in the liner notes to Orient and Occident Nora Pärt mentions that this piece was also written in such a way, and as it is a more recent work than Psalom or Trisagion I'd prefer to use it for my analysis.

The problem is I have no idea what text it is based on, which is obviously quite important to an analysis. I have a copy of the score but it doesn't offer any answers either. Can anyone help me? My apologies if this is a really stupid question, and there is a well known text that is quite literally called "Orrient & Occident", but I honestly have no idea and would really appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks!

Dan
