I just noticed that the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Esa-Pekka Salonen will give the first performance of Pärt's new orchestral work 'Los Angeles Symphony' next January. I wonder if anyone knows something about this new piece.
I was very pleased to hear E-P Salonen's and Hélène Grimaud's performance of Pärt's Credo on CD a couple years back. Hopefully E-P records also this new piece (I think it is possible, that DG might release the world première performance as an e-album similar to the 'Minimalist Jukebox' albums).
P.S. The LAPO and E-P also give the world première of Louis Andriessen's The Hague Hacking (A Double Piano Concerto) soon after the Pärt premiere.
