We (the Rose Street Ensemble), are putting on a concert in aid of War Child at the Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh on Saturday 12th September 2009.
The concert will present string orchestra works of the selected composers (namely Hans Gal, Sergei Rachmaninov, Arvo Part and Bela Bartok), alongside letters and songs dealing with impressions of, or reactions to displacement from, their respective homelands.
To that end, might you be able to tell us if such letters of Arvo Part exist, and, if so, where?
