Campers Barn of Kingston, NY sucks !!

A few years back we made the mistake of buying a popup from Campers Barn. The sales staff was great. Then - I had to have a pane; replaced near the front of the tow hitch, that took over four months to replace ! After we got it home, we realized the " new panel" din't even match what the rest of the camper ! Needless to say, we decided not to return the camper for any further upsets. After camping for a while, we decided we wanted to move into a larger camper. We promised ourselves we would definately NOT goto Campers Barn again. We bought from Eagle RV in Poughquag, NY . We loved them !! Great sales, AND service. Well, after having this camper for a few years, we decided once again to purchase an even bigger camper with a slide out. Again, at Eagle RV. We continued to have great service. Shortly after purchasing the camper, we noticed the side wall exterior on the slideout was beginning to buldge. No leaks etc. They service staff, asked us to keep an eye on it, and that the problem would be noted, incase anything arose after the expiration of the warentee. Well... in the meantime, Campers Barn of Kingston bought Eagle RV sales. We weren't happy with this, but it was beyond our control. Also, the same satff members, and some very nice new ones worked there. The bulkdge problem had indeed gotten worse, so we brought to the attention of the old Eagle RV ( the new Campers Barn.. ). They told us to bring it to Campers Barn in Kingston, only they could take pictures, and corrospond with Fleetwood for a solution. This ordeal began in the summer of 2005, and since then Camerps Barn have "lost" our first set of pictures, and had to retake another set for Fleetwood. My husband and I had arranged for the service manager Charlie, to do the picture retakes. When we showed up, he had left for the day !!! ( We drove an hour to meet with him, and appearently to him, it was no big deal. We were taken care of by another service member, Richard. He did the picture retakes, and also commented ooo, and ah, while we pointed out the buldges. We got a printed out work order that said the c/s- customer says that they can see alumn. structure through the skin of the outside wall. Nevermind that he also saw them as well !! There pictures needed to be sent to Fleetwood, so we could figure out what to do to fix the problem. Charlie was supposed to have taken care of this on the 28th of January, however, I never recieved any calles telling me where we stood ?? I called Camerps Barn on Feb 7th to what was going on.I left a message with John Poll, and still no call back from Charlie. I called again, and left voice messages - no calls.... Finally, I called again at 4pm, and Charlie answered, and said hastily, "we're still waiting on Fleetwood." I asked him when the picture were submitted to them, and he said, oh I would have to look into your file for that. I asked him when we should expect to hear something from them, he answered Thursday Feb 9th. I asked him if I should wait for his call, or if I don't hear anything from him, should I call him. He said yes, do that. Well, Thursday came and went, so I called Camerps Barn on Friday the 10th. Charlie was in , but was not answering any of the pages, according to the receptionist. I was given the option to leave another message on his voice mail, but I explained that Charlies probably wou;n't call me back, and if i could please speak to his supirior to get help. After explaining everything to John Mathers, he told me that Charlie had just walked in, and he had the pictures in front of him, and assured me that there were copies sent to Fleetwood. John said that they still awaited to hear something from Fleetwood, and I could call there to check to see what was taking so long myself. So I agreed to take the number they were offering me. He also mentioned that this was not the people that Campers Barn would speak to, they are technical people, and I couldn't speak to a technical person. He also said I would be lucky to hear back from the in three days, ( and then added that was a joke.. ) I was not laughing. I called this number, but it was a number that you can only connect to a recorded voice. I went online and got a number for Fleetwood, and when I called, I was able to connect directly to human !! I explained everythng ! She said Fleetwood never recieved any pictures from Campers Barn ! Because this was on a Friday, she had to make calls , and get back to me on Monday. Today is Monday, and she called me first thing this morning to tell me she will be calling Campers Barn to try and straighten this out. I might add, not only did Campers Barn try to ignore the problems, but they lied about sending pictures to Fleetwood, and John Mathers also said that they may not even fix your problem, even though it was noted beofre the expiration of my warentee, making me now worry about another problem, that nobody had even brought up in our previous visits for pictures !!!!!!! I think Campers Barn should reconsider expanding their service department- It's pretty clear they can't hadle what they have !!!!!!!!

How does a whole company suck because one person has a bad experience?

I've always found it to be curious when I hear someone say that an entire company is terrible because they had a bad experience. Maybe the company isn't really terrible. Maybe you just didn't hear what you wanted to hear? I've had nothing but good experiences with Campers Barn over the years. Just recently I brought in my trailer for service and when I picked it up it was cleaned inside and out!

No one is perfect, but the people there honestly give it their all.
