Collective personal progress can add to PNG's total progress so tingting pastaim na tok. The adage action speaks louder than words holds. We can wake up and do something for tomorrow instead of whining about yesterday. Look around the world, PNG is so rich and lucky, we should be thankful to GOD for these blessings. If the stewardship is going in the wrong direction, we need GOD-fearing young educated progressive thinking Papua New Guineans to redirect the course. Having said that lets move on.......
The originator of this thread clearly stated the purpose of the posting and asked for positive contributions from progressive thinking Papua New Guineans. If you have nothing positive to contribute, ask yourself where the heck have you been in the last 30 years? Those of you who always see everything in black, you should confine your negative views, regressive thoughts and depressed sentiments within yourselves and **** them out in the loo somewhere because, it smells like dead rat here. No matter what style of argument you try to justify your unwanted negative bickering, it only shows your own state of mind and personal quality that can translate loudly into one word - GREED. And for those diehard PNG patriots, I salute you all the way for giving us the identity we need while away from home. Yupla kam gud stret!!!
No matter where you are on planet Earth, if you originate fully or partly from PNG, you must be proud of inheriting its unique legacy. Needless to list the reasons here, you cannot compare PNG to another country under the sun. I am a full blooded Papua New Guinean and I am darn proud to be one and hold my head high in Europe. There is no place like home and I am going home to help build and develop PNG after getting the needed education.
I have no grudges for those professionals and whatnauts who want to shy away and take cover in the West for convenient and comfortable lifestyles. PNG with its very diverse physical and cultural heritage cannot be compared with the West. We are still learning and making mistakes is part of growing up. We need educated Papua New Guineans to return and make positive contributions for a better tomorrow. The difference will not be immediate but if we make a collective consistent effort to put PNG first instead of our own bread and butter, comfort, style and convenience, there will be a better PNG our children and their children can be proud of. If you don't have PNG at heart, nor the desire and intuition to return home (no matter how rotten PNG appears to you), stay where-ever you are but don't be a potty mouth and throw up shallow childish negative comments. They are not needed, nor asked for. You can pretend to call yourself educated but at the end of the day, you will admit in the confines of your hideout in the West that your land, ancestors, family, relatives and blood are deeply rooted in PNG. When that happens, then you know you become what is called an A-L-I-E-N.
