Response to Kumul 22- England 32
I woke up at about 7am waiting for the game and I have to be honest I am not disappointed. At 1/2 time I was still shouting in my living room - my neigbours could literally hear me screaming!
The Kumuls were leading 16 - 12 at 1/2 time. That was incredible. Even the Sky Sports commentators (which included the legendary GB Lions winger Martin Offiah) could not believe the performance of the Kumuls. The British commentators had positive comments about the Kumuls. They also stated that with that performance - the kumuls were a force in RL.
Slight lack of concentration by our boys between the 60th to 70th minutes costed us the game.
Also, I think the English were lucky and a few decisions by the ref were in their favour! If the Kumuls were given that first disallowed try in the 2nd half - the result could have been different. Our boys could have lead by 10 points! Like Lammy, I also felt that the ref could have given us a few decision (but that didn't happen).
We should be proud of our boys. They were proud to wear that Kumul jumper and they played well. If they were in another pool - they could have easily won!
We almost beat England!
