| This is a call for thoughts and advice going out to all wantoks currently in Europe, especially UK.
I am looking forward to study in UK and will be travelling over in the next couple of months. I have never been to a temperate country before and don't know what it'll be like.
I'd appreciate some expert advice on:
1. The type of clothing to bring. Should I buy most of them here or over there?
2. The fashion expected of a student studying in UK (preferably from a female's point of view).
3. I know I would need a laptop, should I think of purchasing one here and bringing there or should I wait till I get there and look for one.
4. Beddings, should I purchase them here and bring with me or look for them when I get there. (I've been told, things are quite expensive to buy over there).
5. What is the average living cost per week for a single student.
6. Do they allow international students to find short-term casual jobs just to supplement the stipend?
7. What mode of transport is the best? Cost wise and efficiency wise?
Ya, if you nice wantoks out there could help me out by shedding some lights on some of these questions of mine, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
