Mark O'Neal's 6/29/04 Trip Report

Drove down from Delaware in the morning. Had an absolutely splendid day on the hike up to Mt. Rogers from the Massie Gap parking lot in Grayson Highlands State Park. Just walked up the ridge on the only trail available, picked up the AT and a little while later hit the summit. I was very impressed with the scenery on the hike up. It reminded me of being in high country out west. The summit of course was anti-climactic
