Crossed over the railroad tracks into Florida and drove past the highpoint at 45 mph. After slamming on the breaks, waking my wife from a slumber, and performing a state trooper U-turn we descended on the highpoint.
Not much here but the leftovers of teenagers partying and weary travelers littering. There was a nice article on highpointers.org. The headstone'ish marker was the nicest so far, at least there was no advertising on this "Summit" like in Texas.
The signage was nice and we were able to do it without oxygen and sherpas
