| - Our old friend George hailed from around the Yorkshire area and it seems that Fran's exploits also took place in that area.
Could this account for the similarity in their writing styles?

Fran was slippered near Wembley and I always thought that, like me, Georn was a chap from East Grinstead. |

It's only a shot in the dark, Ralphy.
George says he's lived all his life in that general area, and Fran refers to a friend in Huddersfield.
Maybe George has asked Fran to stand in for him while he and his grandsdon Martin are on their holidays? |

Sarajane i have always respected your judgement but those postings had nothing in common with Georges' badly spelled, illiterate comically awful outpourings. With George you always wondered which hand was holding the mouse! |

James,
You say that Fran's postings have "nothing in common with Georges' badly spelled, illiterate comically awful outpourings".
If you mean that George's postings were usually badly spelled, illiterate and comically awful and that Fran's are NOT badly spelled, illiterate and comically awful - I agree with you.
That is not, however, to say that the postings have nothing in common.

Here guv, you'll never guess who I had in the back of the cab today. That Georn and his grandson, Mart. Took 'em down to Waterloo as they were goin' orf on their holidays to East Grinstead. They didn't half rabbit, but every other word seemed to be "pants". |
