It gives me no pleasure in is saying this, but when I was not given any protection from the attacks by certain members I warned you. I warned you that without members posting their EM addresses and with this type of flame posting one of two things was certain. Either the site would close or not be used. Since I stopped posting accounts, just look at how little you have got on CP, certainly no new posters, or at least very few.

You should have taken note of George. I said they were true, some doubted it. That was for them to decide without the flaming and abuse. One thing, even those that did think they were false enjoyed reading them. Now it looks as if, what started as a good site has gone the same way as many, just as forcast.

It is such a pity.

Excuse me, but unless 'James' (a pseudonym perhaps, certainly not clearly identifying 'the party of the first part', probably one of the first matters of question and resolution in any action.... e.g. Counsels opening question 'you are XYZ of ABC a citizen of..... etc? (wrong replies = perjury ) owns the web page, or has brought an action under a particular geographical 'data protection act' (or equivalent) and has correctly identified the 'sponsors' of the site and their 'de facto' 'span of control' in respect of both the operational regime in respect of 'personal data' and their 'actions' or even 'inaction' in respect of defence of 'the right to privacy'.......... (boring isn't it) etc etc.

Look, if you have to close this site, tell me, and us, why. If it is legally sound then I and some of my friends also have also have personal and class actions to consider and potentially take up against certain posters, not the site sponsors.

I have just logged on as I am at a bit of a loose end caused by fog at Luton.
I am really sorry to think that this site will close despite the fact that the writer has been treated a bit badly.(in his opinion)
I really think us spankers should stick together rather than fall out.
Is there no way that we can put it all behind us and perhaps cancel the e mail addresses of certain persons and accept the voice of reason and just entertain each other.
For what its worth I really am a part time air taxi commercial pilot not the assumed highly paid air transport pilot. I have never flown a jet just real prop planes and my hero is Biggles or Major James Bigglesworth DFC DFO & bar based on the real exploits of Captain W Johns whom home is but a stones throw away from the writer.
Lets stop all the sniping, take posters for what they are and as a special plea could SJ please stop knocking everyone.

As a 'New Poster' on this group I am unaware of past problems. I therfore ask WHY is this group closing? It appears that you may have 'upset' a few [Clowns?]people but then this often happens in debate! What is there problem from your point of view? Why close a group to appease those who would put there intrests over all others in the forum?

As you will have seen from his ‘Arse’ messages, James is a formidable opponent. He has vowed to damage (which we take to mean ‘destroy’) this forum on Monday and we are in no doubt whatsoever that he is capable of so doing. Therefore, rather than engage in a battle that we are destined to lose, we have decided to close the forum.

You said on the 5th october that james has threatened to shut down the forum on monday. The forum is still alive and kicking it seems, so doesn't this suggest that it was an empty threat? I maybe wrong.

I am delighted that this forum has closed down and hope that those who were put off by the intellectual snobbery will start to contribute again. It would be good to hear from George the former headmaster once more. Does anyone know what happened to his new Yahoo Group? I heard a rumour that it was shut down before it even opened.
